How do I create a travel blog?If you are not a member yet, join the Planet Purl community or log in as an existing member. Go to the Blogs section and click on the menu at the top to "Create New Blog" and follow the screens to start your first post.
How do I add a new post or journal entry?First log in to the community, then go visit your Blog. In the top left corner you'll see a menu with various options to manage your blog. Choose the option titled "Add Blog Post". Then simply follow the screens to post a new journal entry.
How do I edit existing posts?Once you are logged in, from the Blogs page click on the menu option titled My Blogs. It will show a list of the blogs that you created then select EDIT to open the blog. From this screen you can edit existing posts as well as the main blog photo and description.
What makes a great travel blog?A great travel blog is interesting and fun. It should give us good insight into yarn shops in the area, as well as other local events and attractions that might be interesting to travelers who may visit. Taking photos of shops and local area attractions discussed are also a plus!

I can only post 1 photo per blog entry. What if I have more photos to share?If you are selecting to be featured in a newsletter, a member of the Planet Purl staff will contact you and be able to assist in posting additional photos of the yarn shops and local area to add some pizzaz to your blog if its needed.
How do I contact Planet Purl if I want my blog to be considered for the newsletter?You can email us at email@example.com. Please provide your membername and the title or link to your travel blog. You will receive confirmation from us within 3 business days if your blog is a candidate to be featured.
What happens if my blog is chosen to be featured in the newsletter?If we select your blog to be featured in the newsletter, you will be notified via email. We will ask us to give us the name, address and phone number for the shop from which you'd like to receive your gift certificate so we can drop your prize into the mail.
